Nearly £10 a mile was raised by Jones Lau of HQ hair and beauty, when he cycled 100 miles for Exeter's Cancer charity. Jones rode the FORCE Century Challenge on 27th June to raise £967. He had a great day and is now looking for his next ride! He would like to thank all the clients, colleagues and family for giving so generously.
Update on Dawn's damaged leg
Dawn has been overwhelmed with all the cards and good wishes for a speedy recovery, thank you to all the clients who have been so understanding and supportive. Dawn has been able to visit the salon and has been pleased to see her clients having their hair done with Teresa, Jones, Jules, Vanessa and Lynn. There is another operation due October / November but Dawn hopes to come into the salon on a more regular basis prior to that, although she won't be able to return to styling for a while.

Andrew Barnes, owner of HQ Hair & beauty was pipped at the post October 09, coming second in the FSB employer of the year awards. Andrew has owned one salon or more in Exeter, successfully employing and developing hairstylists and beauty therapists, for more than thirty years. The business was previously known as Snips HQ, Snips Hair Design and an additional salon known as Rainbow cut & colour workshop, all carried the same high standard of work and training as HQ hair & beauty does now. At any one time the business has employed between 14 and 21 people, taking on at least two new trainess each year. Many of the stylists and therapists that HQ have developed over the years have also gone on to run their own successful businesses.
